I’ve had a little break from Song of the Week due to other projects, a big birthday and general COVID mental rollercoaster. BUT it’s back with the classic — ‘Computer Love’ honouring Kraftwerk co-founder Florian Schneider who passed away at the beginning of May.
The photo of Kraftwerk on which this portrait is based is so iconic I felt like it could take abstraction and still work.The portrait started out as a watercolour painting which I then saturated with water, laid fresh paper on top of and rollered over. This result is a print of the original or a paitning’s painting of a painting?
