A classic from Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers! I could go on for ages about how much I love Jonathan Richman but I'll spare you. Needless to say there's a number of songs I'd highlight from his back catalogue but went for this because a) it's great b) it's the song I always default to playing on the guitar for fun c) we start every @7supmusic night by playing it.
If you don't know where to start with JR or you're already a mega fan either way I'd recommend listening to the Jonathan Richman Special on @nts_radio. Its a great mix of interview snippets, history of the band and of course great songs spanning his career with Modern Lovers aand a solo artist.
Also if you live in 🇺🇸 you can catch Jonathan on tour with Bonnie Prince Billy at the moment. Seeing him play in London is one of my favourite gig memories. The man effuses joy and charm.
