Man I love this song. Effortlessly cool and about as laid back and soulful as disco can get. Plus, as if it couldn’t get any fucking cooler, the song (along with the rest of the brilliant album Looking Up) was privately arranged, recorded and produced by Carrie and her husband Bill as a labour of love in their backyard studio in 1978.
Bill Cleveland was a probabtion officer and musician on the side. He played all the instruments and wrote the lyrics on the album most of which came from love letter he had written to his wife.
