This week’s song is the simultaneously luscious and fragile ‘Broken Finger Blues’ by Richard Swift. Thematically it felt like a perfect contemporary follow up (the song was released in 2018) to last week’s Todd Rundgren choice from 1973. Both Swift and Rundgren are multi talented musician and producers. Both tracks feel like they’re coming from a similar place to me and are big and beautiful with it. Sadly Richard died at only 41. Thankfully Todd is still going strong.
